How it’s calculated
Floor area is length times width. Add 10% for a straight layout, or 15% for diagonal and herringbone patterns, which waste more at the edges.
Tiles needed is that area divided by the area of one tile. Boxes are the area divided by the coverage printed on the box, rounded up.
Buy all boxes from one lot so the color matches, and keep a few spares for repairs.
